Mary Lou and Gene Farnsworth (right) were the feature PROFILE in the February issue of the Palostar (see below). Throughout their many years of service to the Whirlaways they have been most giving and active. Congratulations to the both of you. We are sooo proud to have you in our club.

I have been entering square dance dresses and shirts to promote square dancing to the people who may be walking through the Home and Hobby Exhibits.  I got the Best of Show and a lst place ribbon on one square dance dress.  A lst place ribbon on a square dance skirt and blouse.  I got the  2nd on a skirt, blouse, hat, purse, and shirt.  I got another 2nd on another shirt.  It is very difficult to get any ribbons on shirts.   I got honorable mention on a square dance dress, petticoat, and pettipants.  It was made with the same precision and care as the rest.   I may have mentioned that the judges may have decided that I had already received more ribbons than one person ought to re- ceive.  Anyway it is quite an honor to get Best of Show.  One can't get much better than the best of everything that was entered by all participants.
